Hotel Trio Back Patio. Field trip, together.
Putting local memory back into circulation.
How do archives help us generate local collective memory? What are some best practices for their design and implementation? How can we create archives that are symbiotic with technological change?
We will investigate local knowledge, relationships with the keepers of said knowledge, and weaving into the archival infrastructure of the neighborhood.
Please join us on a Field Trip to Libraries & Archives.
Please bring/wear: Water bottle, good walking shoes, sunscreen, hat, sunglasses, pen & paper

Augmented Locality is a participatory program investigating the integration of our digital and local worlds.
Although Healdsburg may not be the locale where you reside, let these field trips be examples of ways you can return to your home(s) with new eyes, digitally and physically.
Join us for a ‘field trip’, every day from June 2nd to June 7th, with an accompanying ‘permission slip’ that will take us around the city of Healdsburg. The field trips will last ~2 hours, and will weave in with the other programmings of the day.
The journey begins with all participants sharing a craft and receiving the permission slip of the day. Our hope is to make progress on these crafts, inspired by our field trips. We will create a collective artifact of our notes and our works throughout the experience.
With your RSVP, please consider replying to this letter.
