The Council of all Beings is a communal ritual that allows us to step aside from our human identity and speak on behalf of other life-forms. Inviting the myriad of voices from nature to speak through us. A ritual I borrow from the Work That Reconnects, in gratitude to Joanna Macy’s and hers colleagues’ work.

To me, this communal ritual is also a way in which we can honor the land that is hosting us through this Gathering and all the non-human animals and other beings (biotic and abiotic) that form the wider community of the Gathering. Listening to the collective wisdom, we can then inform our path forward to co-create a life-sustaining way of living.

Come ready to go on a deep time walk with yourself where you’ll be chosen by another being, invite your moral imagination and creativity and let your body be a vehicle of Gaia’s expression.
